Relocation: Ex-Texans Finding New Homes

As of today, a few recently waived Texans players have found new homes in the NFL. As a Texans fan, this the first time in a long time that players released from Houston have been considered a top commodities on the open market. Here is a list of ex-Texans playing in the NFL.

Xavier Adibi (Minnesota Vikings)

After being waived it did not take long for Adibi to be picked up by the Vikings. Considered by many to have had a good camp and preseason, Adibi was cut to the surprise of many. He will be a welcome addition to the Vikings giving them another athletic linebacker for their defense.

Anthony Hill (Philadelphia Eagles)

One of the biggest disappointments in Texans draft history, the tight end out of N.C. State could not stay away from the injury bug which caused him only five career games played as a Texan. Hill at 6’6″ 278 lbs. poses as the prototypical pass blocking tight end, but the question still remains can he stay healthy.

Antwaun Molden (New England Patriots)

Another often injured player, Molden has done enough in one game to claim a spot with the Patriots 53 man roster. This has to be one of the biggest surprises of the pickups, especially how quick and who he was claimed by. It will be interesting to see how Molden will contribute to an AFC favorite in New England.

Ex-Texans Who Were Not Invited Back To Camp

Zac Diles (Tampa Bay Buccaneers)

Waived by the St. Louis Rams, he was claimed by his defensive coordinator at Kansas St., Raheem Morris and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. It looks like he will contribute on special teams and be in the fold to win some snaps at a linebacker position.

Amobi Okoye (Chicago Bears)

Considered a bust in Houston, Okoye has worked himself into the defensive line rotation on one of the toughest defensive units in the AFC. Chicago fans like his speed and ability to get to the quarterback, and consider him an important piece going into the 2011 season.
