Texans Continue Roster Shuffle, I.R. Another and Sign a Familiar Face

On Friday, the Houston Texans placed rookie cornerback, Roc Carmichael on the injured reserved to end his season. Carmichael injured his shoulder early in preseason and never contributed during the preseason and was listed as inactive for the season’s first game against the Indianapolis Colts. He was a 5th round draft pick out of Virginia Tech and was drafted to help solidify a weak secondary heading into the 2011 season.

With the Carmichael placed on injured reserve, the Texans brought back defensive lineman Tim Bulman and put him back on the active roster. Bulman was released earlier in the week with the signing of wide receiver David Anderson. Even though he was inactive for week one, Bulman brings back depth to a thin defensive line, in terms of depth.

Also, Texans running back, Derrick Ward has been ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Dolphins, this will clear the way for Ben Tate to get the bulk of the carries even though it seems Arian Foster has been given the ok for Sunday’s game.
