Midseason Report Card: Coaches

Here are the midseason grades for the Texans coaching staff.

Head Coach Gary Kubiak has done a good job keeping his team together
despite all of these injuries. Yes there are people out there who want his head
on a platter, but the fact he has the Texans 5-3 and first in the AFC South
proves that he can lead when needed. Kubiak can improve his grade with a playoff appearance, but for now we give him a B.

There is not doubt what has made the Texans who they are in
2011, and that is Wade Phillips. He has made players from last year’s terrible
defense, into important pieces in the new 3-4 scheme. With the hiring of
Phillips it proves coaching can go a long way and Houston is witnessing it
first hand.
