Even a Virus Can’t Slow Arian Foster

It seems like Houston Texans running back Arian Foster was not only battling the Atlanta Falcons #2 ranked run defense on Sunday, but it looks like he was competing against a virus that seemed to make the All-Pro running back look sluggish with the football in the first three-quarters of Sunday’s contest.

Foster said this late Sunday night on Twitter.

#fact. Rubbing your feet together when you’re sick decreases the pain. I feel terrible.  But wanted to say I love our city and our fans.
My immune system is at holy war with this virus. I will come out victorious. #deuces

Despite his virus Foster still rushed 31 times for 111 yards and a touchdown and caught 3 passes for 41 yards. Foster worked hard for his yards on Sunday, but came to life late in the 4th quarter and provided the spark the offense was looking for the entire game.

With this game Foster now has 916 yards rushing and 8 touchdowns for the season, and with his rushing touchdown against the Falcons he has a rushing touchdown in his last 6  games and has 9 total touchdowns in that 6 game stretch.

It is evident how important this season is to the Texans and Foster is just another example of the adversity the Texans have been facing all season. With Foster’s performance even a virus can’t stop the Texans from winning games.
