Vince Young Wants to Come to Houston?

Vince Young

Now listen to this, Houston native Vince Young has made it clear on Houston Sports Radio 790, that he wants the Houston Texans to sign with the Texans this offseason. Yes the so-called “Chosen One” of Houston fandom wants to come back to his hometown, but this would do nothing but bring some unnecessary drama to the Texans locker room. Just understand when a player is begging to come back home, you better be careful. So just say no!

Take a listen for yourself.

Vince Young is a great quarterback and a match-up problem for most defenses. Tennessee’s head coach really handicapped him. Vince should have left after the 2008 season but he’s a competitor, and tried to make it work.
Lets not forget, ther was little to no off season practice last year and in Philadelphia, Vince Young had to learn a totally new system and was looking good in preseason up until he got hurt on a play that never should have been called and he was out for 4 weeks (no practice). Had he not got hurt, Vince would have won those games that Vick was unable to complete and the Eagles would be in the Superbowl instead of the Giant…… BE FAIR IN YOUR ASSESSMENT OF “VINCE YOUNG”…..

I think that vince young is a great football player, but vince would be terrible fit for houston.looking at the play of vince this past season was very uninspiring.there is nothing about his play that says,{wow I wish vince was in houston},,,I think thats why the eagles only signed vince for one year,he is really not starter material if you just go by his stats as a QB.The numbers are not good at all and he would not be much better than TJ yates. The idea of getting a veteran QB is improvement over the QB you have, vince would be a huge drop off from Matt schaub. It just does not seem to make for competent conversation, why bring him here unless you want him to maybe compete for backup. If the eagles dont even want to keep him as a back why would we want him as starter.

I think Vince Young is a great quarterback and would make our aready great offence better. I know he didn’t play well in Phily but I think if he came back to Houston he would be great. I think during his time in Tennessee he lost his confidence but with the Houston fans behind him and a organization that believes in him HE WOULD BE GREAT. Speaking of Matt schaub he has not been able to stay healthy for a full season yet. We should just cut Matt Leinart because his interests are not in football anyway. I think we should give VY a chance and sign him to a one year deal and see what happens.

Bring Vince Young home. He is the most qualified free agent quarterback on the market. Vince can still play at a HIGH LEVEL.
Lets not forget, there was no off season practice last year and , Vince Young had to learn a totally new system in Philadelphia, and was doing good in preseason until he got hurt on a PAT that never should have been called. Vince was out for 4 weeks (no practice). Had he not got hurt, Vince would have won at least 2 of the games that Vick was unable to complete and the Eagles would be in the Superbowl instead of the Giant…… VINCE YOUNG is a competitor and he will push the starting quarterback….Competition is good for the team…. isn’t it???…..
