Texans Make First Offseason Move

The Houston Texans made their first offseason move by releasing Darius Morris this week. The undrafted free agent offensive lineman was a camp invitee who impressed early, but was sidelined for the season with an injury. After clearing waivers after camp, Morris was added back to the Texans reserve injured list.

Morris at 6’4″ and 315 lbs. came to Houston in 2011 from Temple, as an All-Mac 1st team offensive lineman two years in a row (2009, 2010). 2009 was his best season for the Owls when he was named the teams Offensive MVP and best offensive lineman.

This is not an earth shattering move, but is signaling the start of the potential moves for the Texans in the 2012 offseason.

The move was first reported by Aaron Wilson, you can follow him on Twitter.
