Texans Get Their Fullback

The Houston Texans have acquired fullback Tyler Clutts from the Chicago Bears in exchange for defensive back Sherrick McManis according to Houston Fox Sports, Mark Berman. The full details of the deal have not been released, but with the Texans waiving veteran Moran Norris this morning, there was an open position for a fullback on the roster.

Clutts is a second year player from Fresno State and in 2011 he appeared in all 16 games for the Chicago Bears. He measures in at 6-2 and 260 lbs and looks like he will be called upon pretty quickly to fill the void at fullback. James Casey will get majority of the snaps at the fullback position, but the addition of Clutts give the Texans are real run blocking fullback that was non existant during training camp and preseason.
