Ed Reed Slated to Visit the Texans

The Houston Texans will be hosting safety Ed Reed on Thursday at Reliant looking to fill the void Glover Quin left on his way to Detroit. Reed has terrorized the NFL for over 12 seasons and is looking to pro long his career at age 34. Reed started all 16 games for the Super Bowl Champion Baltimore Ravens and helped lead the defense in Baltimore.

In 2012, Reed had 58 total tackles in 2012 with four interceptions which gave him 61 for his career.

The visit of Reed to Houston is a breath of fresh air after almost to two days of zero news coming out of Reliant. Reed could instantly give the Texans a stop-gap for the team to develop some young safeties for the upcoming years.

Update on Reed Situation

The Texans have already made Reed a substantial offer according to the Aaron Wilson who covers the Baltimore Ravens.
