Texans Workout Billy Bajema

According to Aaron Wilson, the Houston Texans have worked out free agent tight end Billy Bajema. Bajema is 6-4 and 259 lbs. and has played for the San Francisco 49ers (2005-2008), St. Louis Rams (2009-2011) and the Baltimore Ravens (2012) where he won a Super Bowl.

Bajema was drafted out of Oklahoma State in 2005 in the 7th round (249th overall) by the 49ers and has totaled 38 catches for 398 yards and 2 touchdowns. In 2012, he signed with the Ravens in August and appeared in 8 games and started one, but he did not register a catch. He also appeared in all four playoff games for the Ravens en route to a Super Bowl win.

The workout of Bajema indicates that second year tight end Phillip Supernaw might be out for an extended amount of time with a foot injury suffered in the first week of OTAs. The Texans have four healthy tight ends in Owen Daniels, Garrett Graham, Ryan Griffin and Jake Byrne.
