Texans OTAs: Day 10 Recap
The Houston Texans wrapped up their 10th and final OTA of the year and it was the start of some serious Texas hit rolling in for the summer. The Texans used the last day as walk through with no helmets, but hats and headbands were worn by the team.
It was a full practice schedule but at a slower pace, but there was plenty of learning on the field. The team looked rejuvenated on the last day of OTAs and the weekend approaching leading into mandatory mini camp next week. (June 11-13)
Day 10 Recap
- It was not announced by the team until the end of practice, but the Texans signed free agent tight end Adam Schiltz to replace the injured Phillip Supernaw.
- Rookie wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins was absent from practice today due to sickness. It was his first missed practice since his arrival in Houston.
- Today kicker Randy Bullock was kicking on the field and he missed one out of six attempts during the offense’s two minute drill. Bullock looks like his leg is much stronger compared to his 2012 training camp version. Rookie Andrew Shapiro is helping with kicking duties during OTAs, but this is Bullock’s season to show the Texans why they drafted him last season. It seems to us that his leg is much stronger, but training camp will help get a better gauge of Bullock.
- With little news at OTAs with the lite run through, enjoy the sights from the final day.
