Texans Lose Quessenberry To Broken Foot

The Houston Texans have placed rookie guard David Quessenberry on the injured reserve with a broken foot suffered during practice. Quessenberry has been a bright spot on a rookie class that has battled injury the entire preseason, and this one hurts the depth of the offensive line.

Quessenberry has been impressive as a left guard and showed he has what it takes to help this team in the future, but that will all be put on hold for the 2013 season. He was taken in the 6th round in the 2013 NFL draft out of San Jose State and has been better than advertised.

The Texans will have to shuffle the roster some with the injury but this puts the roster to 52 active players and could be the move they need for the short-term before they activate Antonio Smith off the suspended list.
