Texans Fire Head Coach Gary Kubiak

Houston Texans Head Coach Gary Kubiak has been fired by owner Bob McNair following a Thursday night 27-20 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars and marking the team’s 11th consecutive loss.

“One of advantages of taking action now is we can start process to find new head coach. The process is under way.”

Kubiak posted a 61-64 overall record with two AFC Championships to go along with two playoff wins and not much else to go along with it. Owner Bob McNair has named Wade Phillips the interim Head Coach for the remainder of the season, and also Case Keenum will be the starting quarterback for the remainder of the 2013 season.

Coaches and players will be under evaluation according to McNair, but the Kubiak and Matt Schaub era has officially come to an end.

In my opinion, Bob McNair is trying to save face for his self! There had to be a moral way to handle these decisions other than put all the blame on certain people at point blank! All I’m saying is the way this is being handled is not a class act! I think there are a lot of changes needed but you can’t just take the easy way out! Just saying, no class in my book! It will be hard to get a coach of Kubiak’s class to take a job for Bob McNair! I don’t know what J.J.’s contract is but if not for his fans, I think he will be gone ASAP, along with a few more! The Texans have some great players, a few injured, I hope they recover even if they leave the Texans! That’s my opinion, what’s yours?
