Case Keenum Set To Have a MRI on Throwing Hand

Interim Head Coach Wade Phillips announced to the media that starting quarterback Case Keenum is set to have a MRI on his thumb on his throwing hand. The Texans will know more on Wednesday, but Phillips called the situation a “wait and see” moving forward during the week. This puts Keenum’s availability in doubt, and this in on the heels of bad showing against the Indianapolis Colts after going 18 for 34 for 168 yards and 2 interceptions.

If Keenum can’t go for the Texans this Sunday, they will have to turn to former starter Matt Schaub or T.J. Yates to face the Denver Broncos. The quarterback situation has been a disappointing one this season, and this only makes the situation for the Texans even more in doubt.
