Texans to Bring Back Phillip Supernaw

The Houston Texans will be bringing back tight end Phillip Supernaw to the practice squad, but it will not be official until announced by the team. Supernaw will be placed on the practice squad after Brad Smelley was promoted to the active roster last week before the Indianapolis game.

Supernaw, in his second year out of Ouachita Baptist, is 6-5 and 250 lbs. and will be working at the tight end position. He has had his past two seasons cut short with injuries with his foot.  In 2012, Supernaw was placed on the injured reserve with a right foot injury. This season, he was in training camp and on the second day he injured the same foot which ended his training camp.

Supernaw was released in late July during training camp and now he is back with the team with two game remaining in the 2013 season.
