Ben Tate’s Season Ends

The Houston Texans have placed running back Ben Tate on the injured reserve, ending his 2013 season and maybe his Texans career. Tate has been playing with four broken ribs since the Kansas City Chiefs game and had them re-injured against the Indianapolis Colts this past Sunday.

Tate took over for starter Arian Foster who was also placed on the injured reserve with a back injury. Tate, since taking over the starting duties, rushed for 771 yards with 4 touchdowns and averaged 4.3 yards a carry.

With Tate done for the season, the Texans will turn to Dennis Johnson to start with Deji Karim and Jonathan Grimes to back up for the final two games.
