Report: Texans to Hire Paul Dunn as Offensive Line Coach

According to Alex Marvez (Fox Sports) the Houston Texans will hire assistant offensive line coach from the Atlanta Falcons, Paul Dunn. Dunn has coached for over 30 years, and has spent the last six seasons as the assistant offensive line coach for the Falcons.

Dunn was credited for turning around the Falcons offensive line and putting together one of the best lines in franchise history in 2012. Under Dunn, he produced the team’s first Pro Bowl offensive lineman since 1998 with Tyson Clabo. The offensive line dramatically improved since he arrived in 2008, and improved each season until this past season when the Falcons did not meet expectations.

This comes as a surprise hiring, after the Texans missed out on Mike Munchak and rumors of Iowa offensive line coach Brian Ferentz was just that, speculation.
