Arian Foster Cleared for Upcoming Season

Houston Texans starting running back Arian Foster announced via twitter that he has been medically cleared for the 2014 season by his doctors. Foster was lost early in the 2013 after suffering a back injury during the season that placed him on the injured reserve. His injury troubles started early in the season during OTAs, when he tore a calf in a non contract drill that kept him out majority of training camp.

Foster was a key piece that the Texans did not have for the 2013 season and it showed in their running game and depth at running back. Foster’s season ended with 121 carries for 542 yards and one touchdown.

The Texans have Foster as the starter for the upcoming season, but have to find the depth behind him to shore up the position.
