Ryan Fitzpatrick Visting the Texans

According to the Houston Chronicle’s John McClain, the Houston Texans are meeting with free agent quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick.¬†Fitzpatrick was with the Tennessee Titans in 2013, but was not offered a contract to return for the upcoming season.

Fitzpatrick has spent time with the St. Louis Rams, Cincinnati Bengals and the Buffalo Bills. He was drafted in the 7th round by the Rams in the 2005 NFL draft out of Harvard.

With starting experience, Fitzpatrick could be a viable option to help the depth with the quarterback position. His best seasons came with the Bills where he threw for 11,654 yards with 80 touchdowns to 64 interceptions. His 2010 season lead the Bills to give him a $59 million dollar extension the following season.

Add Fitzpatrick to the long list of quarterback being talked to by the Texans, but having him in Houston visiting is an interesting development.
