Texans Add Safety Kendrick Lewis


The Houston Texans have added free agent safety Kendrick Lewis who most recently played for the Kansas City Chiefs. Lewis was drafted out of Mississippi in the 5th round (136th overall) in the 2010 NFL draft, and will be re-joining his former defensive coordinator and head coach Romeo Crennel.

Lewis has started 50 of his 53 career games in four seasons with the Chiefs. He has totaled 212 total tackles, 7 interceptions and 22 passes defended.

At 6-0 and 198 lbs. he joins a safety group of Danieal Manning, D.J. Swearinger, Eddie Pleasant and Shiloh Keo.
