Khalil Mack Set for Upcoming Pre-Draft Visit with the Texans

According to’s Ian Rapoport the Houston Texans will be hosting University at Buffalo linebacker Khalil Mack next week. Mack has been tagged as one of the most versatile defensive players in the draft and a good fit for Romeo Crennel’s 3-4 defense at outside linebacker.

In four seasons with the Bulls, Mack had 327 total tackles with 28.5 sacks with 75 TFLs and he also had 16 forced fumbles with 3 interception and 2 were returned for a touchdown. His senior season garnered 2013 MAC Defensive Player of the Year where he had 100 total tackles with 10.5 sacks and 19 TFLs.

Mack is 6-3 and 251 lbs. and after a solid NFL combine it appeared he all but solidified his place to be chosen in the top 10 picks of the 2014 NFL Draft.

Mack is one of the few names that have leaked to the public as one of the 30 prospects the Texans have hosted prior to the NFL Draft. He joins Johnny Manziel, Blake Bortles, Teddy Bridgewater, Stephon Tuitt and Jadeveon Clowney as confirmed visits with the Texans.
