Nate Askew Works Out for the Texans

The Houston Texans worked out Texas A&M outside linebacker Nate Askew at a private session at NRG Stadium according to the National Football Post. Askew was a wide receiver for the Aggies before making the switch to outside linebacker for his Senior season.

Askew appeared in 13 games for the Aggies and totaled 38 tackles (25 solo, 13 assists) with 4.5 TFLS, 1 quarterback sack and three interceptions which was tried for the team lead. At 6-3 and 241 lbs. the potential for the converted defensive player could be intriguing for NFL teams after his success with the move.

Still learning the position his raw talent should be enough to find Askew in a NFL camp when the season kicks off.
