Tom Savage Agrees to Rookie Deal with the Texans

The Houston Texans have agreed to another rookie contract and this time it is quarterback Tom Savage. Savage was selected in the 4th round out of Pittsburgh with the 135th overall selection.

The deal is a 4 year deal worth $2.52 million dollars with a signing bonus of $300,584 dollars.

Savage in 2013 for the Panthers started all 13 games and threw for 2,958 yards with 21 touchdowns and nine interceptions. He had a career record of 17-11 with 28 career starts between Pittsburgh and Rutgers.

The Texans to this point have signed from their draft class Alfred Blue, Lonnie Ballentine and Andre Hal.
