Pittsburg”s Jaryd Jones-Smith Meets with the Houston Texans at the Shrine Game

The Houston Texans met with Pittsburg offensive tackle Jaryd Jones-Smith at East-West Shrine Game practices. Jones-Smith measured in at 6’ 6″ and 321 lbs. with an 87-3/8″ wingspan during weigh-ins to start to the week.

Jones-Smith played right tackle for the Panthers, starting all 12 games in 2017. Over the stretch of his career, he appeared in 33 games while filling in at right tackle and tackle eligible in some offensive sets.

In 2015, Jones-Smith injured his knee in off-season work and team doctors would tell him his injury was comparable to those sustained by car wreck victims. The doctors saved his leg and career with action taken by university doctors shortly after the injury. It took him 15 months to get back to the field for the Panthers. (Read More Here)

Jones-Smith is considered a a late day-three or free agent prospect.
