The Rundown, Who To Watch in Game #1, The Colts

The Texans are one day away from game number one of the season against the Indianapolis Colts, and everything that has happen in the preseason is out the window. The games are worth something now and the Texans have every opportunity to make their mark of the AFC South and shoot for their first division title in team history. This Sunday I have pinpointed 6 players who we need to watch for, because these Texans will play a vital part in the outcome of the game. Here is my rundown of the important key players to Sunday’s game.

1-2-3-4 Punch

Every NFL team is not fortunate enough to have depth at every position much less at one. If you are looking for depth on the Texans, look no further than the backfield the Texans have brought into the 2011 season. There is some reason to smile about what the Texans have on the roster, and there are some rival 1-2 punches in the NFL, like the Carolina Panthers (DeAngelo Williams and Johnathan Stewart) and Kansas City (Jamal Charles and Thomas Jones), but a 1-2-3-4 punch?

Texans Practice Squad Still Has Room

The Houston Texans named seven players to their practice squad heading into the 2011 season and have some very interesting prospects on the squad. Faced with some tough decisions on personnel the Texans kept some players who look like with a year of work could contribute down the road in a Texans uniform. As of today the Texans have room for one more player on their practice squad, and early rumors are stating Jesse Nading might be a candidate for the last spot on the practice squad. Here is the list.
