Know Your Opponent with Cincy Jungle’s Joe Goodberry

Know-Your-Opponent-2

Wildcard weekend. Texans fans know we “shouldn’t” be here. We were “supposed” to be the 1-seed in the AFC. And yet, after a 1-3 final quarter of the season, here we are, facing the Bengals in the same weekend as last year. Same Bengals, same Texans, but different. This Bengals defense is bigger and badder in every way. This Texans defense is more decimated. Andy Dalton is surprising many of us. So is Matt Schaub but in a totally opposite manner. Both teams have questionable running attacks which is odd to say with Arian Foster and BenJarvus Green-Ellis in their…

Texans Seven Round Mock Draft, Part Deux

With Mike Kerns’ 7 round mock in the books, I definitely have to take a stab at the all elusive picks that possibly could happen for the Texans in April’s draft. By no mean do I know it all or say I do, but one thing is for certain I wish this draft would get here so we could stop talking about it. With that said…. There is a gut feeling I have that I can’t shake and that is the Texans will be faced with some serious choices on draft day, mainly because their potential targets will be gone before…

Rebuilding the 2012 Texans

Texans Huddle

In light of the upcoming draft I thought I would look into how I would go about rebuilding the Houston Texans through the draft. With the draft being unpredictable I am going to focus only on the eight picks the Texans have. Here is a short list of the players that left due to free agency. Mario Williams: Defensive End/Outside Linebacker – Buffalo Bills DeMeco Ryans: Linebacker – Philadelphia Eagles…

If you read our Top 10 prospects for the Houston Texans last week, we covered 10 players who could possibly help the Texans during the 2012 season. Of course it is all contingent if the Texans draft them, but our list is players who in our minds could provide some help to an already deep Texans roster. Also, you will find some players we have added who proved to be a few other players who we highlighted during the beginning of the week, and stood out during Saturday’s game.   The game is very basic in terms of offense and defense,…

Gameday: Top 10 Senior Bowl Prospects for the Texans

LPStadium

With tornadoes in the area the Senior Bowl has come to a halt, and the teams have moved their practices indoors and proceeded with walk-throughs. Word is that some of the NFL scouts have already packed up and headed for home, because they say the practices are the true indicator of what the teams want to see. Despite all of that there is a game to be played on Saturday, weather permitting, and the Texans have been hard at work trying to fill out their scouting reports. We have compiled a list of players who will be playing on Saturday in…
