According to Fox 26′s Mark Berman, the Houston Texans and safety Danieal Manning have hit a road block in the team’s request for the veteran to take a pay cut. The talks according to Manning’s agent Russel Hicks said the talks with the front office have been “very amicable” regarding the possible pay cut. Texans to Host Johnny Manziel In Houston


Houston Texans’ insider Deepi Sidhu confirmed with General Manage Rick Smith, the Houston Texans will be hosting Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel in a pre draft visit. NFL rules allow NFL teams to use 30 visits prior to the NFL draft to visit with potential draft picks. Manziel will join fellow in-coming quarterbacks Teddy Bridgewater and Blake Bortles who the Texans already have meetings lined up with. SOTT Scouting: Kendrick Lewis


A depth signing by the Houston Texans, safety Kendrick Lewis has plenty to prove to make the 53 man roster coming out of training camp. Lewis was a nice surprise for the Chiefs as a 5th round pick out of Mississippi and was supposed to be a dynamic duo with Eric Berry.  His best season was his rookie season and heading into his 4th year his play slipped after Romeo Crennel was fired by the Chiefs.
