DeVier Posey

According to John McClain, Houston Texans wide receiver DeVier Posey suffered a torn Achilles tendon in the divisional playoff game against the New England Patriots. The injury happen late in the 4th quarter that required Posey to be carted off after falling down in the end zone. Posey had a good night with three catches for 47 yards and an impressive touchdown reception that required a challenge flag to overturn an incomplete call on the field. He has been coming into his own late in the season after he passed Lestar Jean and Keshawn Martin on the depth chart and provided some real speed…

Will Anything Change for the Texans?

Derek Newton, #75, Houston Texans Offensive Tackle

By the end of the weekend, we will know the fate of the Houston Texans when they will head Northeast to face the heavily favored New England Patriots. The biggest question for the Texans is can they erase all of the bad memories of their week 14 meeting and silence all of their critics. A Divisional round appearance once again for the Texans and the big factor is Matt Schaub is behind center for the offense which is better than the 2011 rookie version of T.J. Yates. Not downplaying the job Yates did to get the team to where he did last…

The game will be the first of several upcoming prime time games for the Texans. The Jets are coming off an embarrassing 34-0 performance against the San Francisco 49ers, while the Texans have essentially rolled through their first four games. Part of the Jets’ woes are due to their lack of running attack. They have averaged 3.2 yards on the ground but their starting running back Shonn Greene is below that with 2.8 yards per carry clip….

Jared Crick Defensive End

TEXANS PROFILE: JARED CRICK   With the 126th pick of the 2012 NFL Draft the Houston Texans select Jared Crick, DE from the University of Nebraska.   The Texans hit a homerun with this pick deep in the fourth round not only did they get exceptional value, but they got a second round talent deep in the draft. I believe Jared Crick could have been drafted much higher, but due to a torn pectoral injury that ended his senior season prematurely didn’t help going into this years’ draft. Crick was rumored to be good only because of the attention that Detroit Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh…
