You can leave them messages in the comment section and we will update as they head to New Jersey. …
Texans to Watch: Jets Edition
The Houston Texans march into MetLife Stadium with an AFC leading 4-0 record to take on the Green & White aka New York Jets. The game will be the first of several upcoming prime time games for the Texans. The Jets are coming off an embarrassing 34-0 performance against the San Francisco 49ers, while the Texans have essentially rolled through their first four games. Part of the Jets’ woes are due to their lack of running attack. They have averaged 3.2 yards on the ground but their starting running back Shonn Greene is below that with 2.8 yards per carry clip….
J.J. Watt Named AFC Defensive Player of the Month
Today Houston Texans defensive end J.J. Watt was named AFC Defensive Player of the Month for September. Watt has been something for opposing offenses to worry about, and in the early part of the 2012 season he has been a treat to watch. #Texans DE @jjwatt had 7.5 sacks, 20 tackles, 10 TFL & 5 passes defensed in 4 September games — Nick Scurfield (@NickScurfield) October 4, 2012 Through 4 games, @jjwatt (7.5) is already more than halfway to Mario Williams’ #Texans single-season sack record (14.0) — Nick Scurfield (@NickScurfield) October 4, 2012 #Texans DE J.J. Watt’s stats over…
Is Trindon Holliday A Luxury?
Recently, the Houston Texans had to make roster adjustments due to safety Quintin Demps breaking his forearm. The Texans had to add another safety to the fold while cutting someone to stay at the league required 53 man roster. The Texans resigned safety Troy Nolan back to the roster while cutting quarterback John Beck. Before the cut was made, a debate amongst Texans fans and media sparked about who would be the player that the Texans cut to make room for Nolan. The first and most common name that came up was Trindon Holliday. Holliday was the least likely player that…
All-22 Breakdown: Week 4
In this week’s installment, we look at two particular plays from the Houston Texans’ week four win over the Tennessee Titans. We look at Owen Daniels’ 22 yard touchdown catch and Glover Quin’s sack of Jake Locker. On both, we show the masterminds behind each play, Gary Kubiak and Wade Phillips. The one thing I have taken away from these two plays is how game planning put the Titans into some bad situations with some timely play calling. Take a look. Glover Quin Is the Benefactor in Team Defense at its Finest Owen…

Digging Deep: Tennessee Edition
The Texans reached another new milestone on Sunday as they moved to 4-0 for the first time in team history. They never trailed as they defeated the Tennessee Titans 38-14 in a blowout win. Positives: 2 The number of defensive touchdowns the Texans scored on Sunday. Danieal Manning and Kareem Jackson both had long interception returns for touchdowns. Kareem in particular made a great play breaking on the ball on a slant route. While the offense was not spectacular, these two plays are what allowed the Texans to secure the blowout. 0 The number of times Matt Schaub was sacked….
The POGs: Titans Edition
RELIANT STADIUM – The Texans continued their early 2012 success by toppling the Titans 38-14 at Reliant Stadium on sunday. The Texans have proven they can throttle lesser opponents and have led by 20+ points going into the fourth quarter in every contest so far this year. This is unchartered territory for the Texans’ organization and the fans. Some fans are waiting for the wheels to come off, but the reality of being 4-0 at this point means that if the Texans go 6-6 throughout the remainder of the season, they finish 10-6 and most likely make the playoffs again. …
Texans Waive John Beck
The Houston Texans have waived third string quarterback John Beck to clear room for the recent addition of safety Troy Nolan. Beck, who won a spot on the roster with his good play during the 2012 preseason, was an asset with his knowledge of the offense. The move comes as a bit of a surprise especially with the quarterback situation from last season and the injuries that happened to the position group. With Beck being waived, it leaves the Texans with two active quarterbacks (Matt Schaub and T.J. Yates) and one on the practice squad (Case Keenum). Beck was a 2nd round…
