A depth signing by the Houston Texans, safety Kendrick Lewis has plenty to prove to make the 53 man roster coming out of training camp. Lewis was a nice surprise for the Chiefs as a 5th round pick out of Mississippi and was supposed to be a dynamic duo with Eric Berry.  His best season was his rookie season and heading into his 4th year his play slipped after Romeo Crennel was fired by the Chiefs. The Houston Texans have been awarded three compensatory draft picks for the 2014 NFL Draft. This will give the Texans a total of 11 draft picks for the three day event. The compensatory picks awarded to the Texans are for free agents lost to other teams and signed from other teams. According to NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport the Houston Texans will be hosting University at Buffalo linebacker Khalil Mack next week. To determine which players would be available for each pick, I used the prospect rankings from CBS Sports. The draft obviously won’t go in the exact order of any website’s rankings, but to avoid guessing on availability in the late rounds, I will go by the list from CBS.
