Rookie Brandon Brooks Signs with Texans

According to Houston Fox Sports, Mark Berman, the Houston Texans have agreed with their 3rd round draft pick (76th overall) offensive guard, Brandon Brooks to his rookie deal. It will be a 4-year deal for the rookie from Miami (Ohio) who looks to be in position to push for a starting spot heading into the 2012 season.

The signing of Brooks gives the Texans all of their draft picks under contract heading into training camp, DeVier Posey signed his deal earlier this afternoon.

The financials of Brooks’ deal a 4-year deal worth $2.8 million. Signing bonus of $617,436. Base salaries:

1st year $390k

2nd year $500k

3rd year $590k

4th year $702,564
