RT @richeisen: Doubt @arianfoster has been compared to Ray Allen but he has been cast in prominent role of RB in Costner movie “Draft Day” — Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) April 24, 2013   It looks like Houston Texans running-back Arian Foster will be hitting the big screen in a movie directed by Kevin Costner. The movie is called “Draft Day”, and there is little information outside of this project, but definitely something to watch moving forward when this will occur. Here is the information on the upcoming movie called Draft Day. Foster made an appearance on Hawaii Five-O during the Pro Bowl and looks like he…

Houston Texans “Super Draft” 2002-2012

300758-reliant-stadium

It’s not often when you get a chance to do something that takes vision and time to put together, which turns into one of the more interesting posts we have done in some time. We enlisted the help of  TX Cleaver, Big Ron and Jake Langerkamp, who have been fans with the team since it’s inception in 2002. We asked all three to join us in a mock draft using, as players to draft from, only the Houston Texans’ players who have ever suited up for the team since 2002. All three were intrigued by the idea and immediately accepted the offer.  Of course, we only used four…

Foster Shutting Down

ArianFoster2

Got about a week left on twitter, then I’m shutting her down. — Arian Foster (@ArianFoster) March 4, 2013     Made a decision at 3am. — Arian Foster (@ArianFoster) March 4, 2013   It’s been fun, twitter! Time for me to leave the digital realm. Be the light you want to see on the earth. Peace. — Arian Foster (@ArianFoster) March 4, 2013   It seems that Houston Texans running back Arian Foster is going to shut down his twitter account and remove himself from the “digital realm.” One of the more personable players for the Texans, Foster has made himself…

Possible Heart Procedure for Arian Foster

ArianFoster

According to Alex Flanagan of NFL Network and NBC, Arian Foster is considering minor surgery to correct a heart condition which sidelined him in week 16 of the 2012 season. The Pro Bowl running back for the Texans is expected to make a decision on whether to have a heart ablation to remedy an irregular heartbeat. Foster told Flanagan that the biggest concern with the irregular heartbeat is shortness of breath. Since the age of 12, Foster has had about 8 incidents with the condition but week 16 versus the Vikings was the first time he had been affected during…

Texans to Watch: Patriots Playoff Edition

kubiakwade

This weekend’s playoff matchup features a re-match of the December 10th Patriots blowout of the Texans.  It was a game we all remember but one we wish to forget.  The biggest key to this game is did the Texans, including the coaches, learn anything from the December 10th matchup?  For example, will Wade Phillips change his high risk, high reward man to man coverage scheme and try to blitz Tom Brady again?  And, did Kubiak’s offensive line learn how to block Patriots’ Vince Wilfork? In the NFL, teams are relatively balanced in terms of talent and parity, hence the phrase any…

Digging Deep: Cincinnati Edition

Digging-Deep-(1)

The Texans won their second consecutive playoff game and snapped their two game losing streak with their 19-13 win over the Cincinnati Bengals on Saturday. The defense played lights out, while the offense moved the ball but struggled in the red zone. This win earns the Texans a ticket to play the New England Patriots and hopefully avenge the beatdown the Patriots laid on them in Week 14. Positives: 222 The difference between the Texans’ and Bengals’ total yards. The Texans had more than twice as many total yards as the Bengals. The Texans had 420 total yards while holding…

The Good, The Bad and The Ugly: Playoff Edition

Playoff time has arrived and the Houston Texans hosted the Cincinnati Bengals for the second time in the opening round of the playoffs. A lot of skepticism surrounded this game, especially with the poor play of the Texans at the latter end of the season. The major question concerning the Texans going into the playoffs was could they flip the switch and catch the fire they had at the beginning of the season. Here’s the breakdown:   FINAL SCORE: Texans 19 Bengals 13   TEXANS PLAYOFF RECORD: 1-0 TEXANS PLAYOFF SEATING: 3RD TEXANS FIRST OPPONENT: CINNCINATI BENGALS TEXANS NEXT OPPONENT:  NEW ENGLAND…
