Keys to Victory: Bengals Edition

The Houston Texans are on the brink of something big, not since 1993 that city of Houston has experienced, playoff football. The city of Houston has been waiting for a winner to grace the football field since the Texans came back in 2002.   Games still need to be played and the Texans are traveling to Cincinnati to tangle with the Bengals. The Bengals have exceeded expectations in 2011 and are sitting in the playoff hunt at 7-5. It will be a tough test with the good guys traveling to the “Jungle”. It will be interesting how the Texans react in…

Even a Virus Can’t Slow Arian Foster

It seems like Houston Texans running back Arian Foster was not only battling the Atlanta Falcons #2 ranked run defense on Sunday, but it looks like he was competing against a virus that seemed to make the All-Pro running back look sluggish with the football in the first three-quarters of Sunday’s contest.   Foster said this late Sunday night on Twitter.

10 Thoughts: Texans vs. Buccaneers

This might cap off one of the most surprising turnarounds in the NFL this season, especially after things were looking bleak after a tough loss to the Baltimore Ravens in week 6. The Houston Texans have rattled off 4 straight wins and taken control of their season with a 7-3 record. The Texans control their own future and things could not be looking any better for the city of Houston regarding this “new look” football team.   Once again the Texans dominated their opponent and made the Tampa Bay Buccaneers quit, that is what we saw, and take a embarrassing loss…

Texans Find Success Outside the Draft

The Houston Texans have seem to find some key contributors to the 2011 Texans roster that were not drafted in their respective draft. It is amazing to see what the Texans front office has done to fill their roster and especially the undrafted free agents that are making some impact in this 2011 season.   Many draft classes are looked at who makes the team that is picked between rounds 1 thorough 7, but you have to account who makes the team as an invite during camp. The Texans undrafted players are an impressive group, and shows the draft does not have…

10 Thoughts: Texans vs. Browns

All is good in Houston after the Texans win over the Cleveland Browns with a dominant victory by the score of 30-12. With the Texans at 6-3 and leading the AFC South, this is some rare air the franchise and fans are not used to. It is a good sight to see the Texans playing at a high level without many of their big name players.   There are some good things happening to the Texans and with their hard work and precise personnel moves they are producing on the field. With an upcoming game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers the…

Six Things to Watch on Sunday: Texans vs. Browns

The Houston Texans will be facing the Cleveland Browns this Sunday is an AFC Conference showdown. Sitting at 5-3 the Texans can put themselves a step closer to their goal for the 2011 season, a playoff appearance.   More importantly the Texans will be facing the Browns without their star running back Peyton Hillis who seems to be dealing with his own issues outside of football. With Hillis out of the game it leaves a familiar face to the Texans running the ball for the Browns this Sunday.   Here are six things to watch in this Sunday’s contest.

Six Texans to Watch: Browns Edition

The Houston Texans are treading in uncharted waters with the Cleveland Browns coming to town. The Browns boast the #5 defense in the NFL and have the #2 pass defense also, and they will be put to the test on Sunday. For as good as the Browns defense it, they have the #26 ranked offense in the NFL, and have Texas born Colt McCoy leading them at quarterback.   With the Texans sitting 5-3 and first in the AFC South, they can help their playoff cause with a win this Sunday. Just like every game in the NFL anything can happen,…

Arian Foster, Mr. October

Houston Texans running back Arian Foster earned the month of October’s AFC Offensive player of the month. Foster who was slowed during camp and the first part of the season with a hamstring issue looks to be working back into football shape and slowly looking like his 2010 self.

Arian Foster, ESPN Sports Science

If you missed this, it is Arian Foster’s ESPN Sports Science segment, and it is good stuff. I would imagine Gary Kubiak has a heart attack with him doing all of this cutting and jumping.   If you have some time to kill at the office or need to get to lunch quicker watch this segment.
