Seven Round Texans Mock Draft 2.0
Finally, the draft is upon us in a matter of hours. We have looked at tons of mock drafts, some changing all the time while some stay around the same picks in regards to team’s draft needs. In my second mock, I plan to look at the draft from a worst case scenario prospective. No draft ever goes exactly how you expect it to so I plan to do this mock based on who may or may not be available on the board. Keep in mind that these picks are based on current draft position, no trading up or back involved. With…

Top 100; 2013 NFL Draft Prospects
For those who don’t know, I’m a fairly large amateur draftnik and consider the NFL Draft my favorite non-championship event on the sports calendar. I have been following the draft seriously since 2006 (The infamous VY, Reggie, Mario? class) and casually for much longer. I’ve previously written draft-related pieces for Chron.com’s Fanblog: Texans as well as a guest appearance on Houston Diehards. Pat and I have been exchanging ideas for awhile and we thought it’d be cool if I dropped in at State of the Texans for draft week this year. I do a top 100 rating every year, and Pat was kind enough to give me the space…
SOTT Interview: Colin Anderson, Furman

As a Senior, Anderson checked in at 6-4 and 237 lbs. and the Paladin’s starting tight end and one of the offense’s biggest weapons. His final season he had 30 catches for…

“My goal is not to get drafted, my goal is to make an NFL team.” Aaron Davis, SMU, Fullback/Defensive End It’s not often you are able to talk to an NFL prospect, but we recently had the privilege of sitting down with Southern Methodist University’s Aaron Davis. Davis graduated from SMU in December (Majored in Philosophy) and was a part of the turnaround of the Mustangs’ football program the past three seasons. The Mustangs have appeared in three straight bowl games after a 25 year absence from the post season. Davis played a big role on special teams and defense and at times chipped in at fullback. At 6-2 and 290…
