The Good, The Bad, and The Exposed: Colts Edition 2

MattSchaub

It seems nothing has been going right for the Houston Texans, and to make matters worse the playoffs start on Saturday. The Texans have had ample opportunities to right the ship, but due to lack of focus, discipline, and bad execution the Texans have been their own worst enemy. Gary Kubiak has his hands full going into the postseason, and the Bengals who are hot are coming back to Reliant for revenge of last year’s defeat at the hands of the Texans.   FINAL SCORE: Texans 16 Colts 28   TEXANS REGULAR SEASON RECORD: 12-4 TEXANS DIVISIONAL RECORD: 5-1 TEXANS…

Rare Air for Houston: Texans vs. Colts

JJWatt3

AFC South champs for the second season in a row and a 12-2 record, the Houston Texans are in some rare air especially when it comes to professional football in Houston. The Texans took care of business in a sloppy 29-17 victory against the Indianapolis Colts and quieted their doubters for at least another week. There were some ups and downs but it was good to see the defensive pass rush show up again and the Texans put together some bright spots in all three phases of the game. With the New England Patriots losing Sunday night, the Texans are one win away from clinching home-field advantage throughout…

Know Your Opponent with Kyle from ColtsAuthority.com

Know-Your-Opponent-2

Week 15 and a matchup against the long-time-anxiety-causing Indianapolis Colts looms. The Colts don’t have the same ability to strike fear in the hearts of Texans these days like they did with Peyton in charge. But the Texans haven’t faced the Andrew Luck-led Colts yet. While not a lot is frightening on paper about the 2012 Colts versus the 2012 Texans, this team has troubling intangibles. They’re young, on the upswing and are winning games it seems on sheer will alone at times. And the Texans are coming off the second ugly beatdown of the season, this one coming from…

Here on the State of the Texans we are going to release the snaps counts of the Texans players on offense and defense for the next few weeks. We looked at snaps, carries, targets, hurries and anything else we could have thought of. Here are the reports from week 1. Texans Top 5 Rivals

Texans-vs.-Colts

Thinking about the upcoming Houston Texans season made me think of the teams that seem to bring the best out of the Texans. The list has the names we all expect to see but the order might be up for debate. Entering the 10th full season of play, the rivalry between the Texans and their opponents are still putting chapters to their histories. The list will evolve in the coming seasons, but as of today this is how I see it when it comes to the Texans current rivals.     5. Dallas Cowboys (All Time Record: 1-2, Points 38-71) This has to be the…

Texans vs. Colts: Thursday Night Keys

For the greater good, the Houston Texans are back to work on a shorten week and are facing a familiar face in the Indianapolis Colts on Thursday to open the week 15 games.   The Texans are coming off a disappointing loss last Sunday, but are looking to get back on track against the 1-13 Colts. The only issue is that I don’t think we can count out the Colts to put up a fight against the Texans. The Colts still have plenty of playmakers on the field, and it will be up to the Texans once again to control them…

Behind Enemy Lines: With Kyle from the Coltsider

This is the first installment of Behind Enemy lines where was ask an opposing blogger about the respective team. I was fortunate enough to get Kyle from the Coltsider to have a quick fire of questions about the Indianapolis Colts and the Houston Texans. We touched on rookies, Peyton Manning and the effect on the Colts and the transition of the Texans new defense under Wade Phillips.

Behind Enemy Lines 9.7.2011

This will be the first installment of a look at the opponent of the Houston Texans, and during kickoff weekend the Indianapolis Colts are the focus. Here are a some articles on the Indianapolis Colts heading into Sunday’s contest.

Still a Job to be Done

With news coming out of Indianapolis this morning, the AFC South might have taken a complete 180 degree turn in favor of any other team not called the Colts. The Colts conveyed this to the NFL today:
