Texans First Cuts Announced

Omar-Gaither

The Houston Texans have released their first cuts of the preseason and getting to the league mandated 75 by Monday. The biggest surprises with the current list is Brett Hartmann, Derrell Smith and Nick Mondek. Nick Mondek was drafted in the 6th round in the 2012 NFL draft and was considered a project coming into the season.  He never really impressed at any level to get to the second round of cuts. Austin was on the bike majority of practice. Also punter Brett…

Texans Make Their First Moves

According to Mark Berman (Fox Houston) the Houston Texans have made their first moves of the off season. They are as follows.

Texas Roots Run Deep With the Texans

When looking at the 2011 Houston Texans preseason roster, the Texans have a big group of players who have ties to the state of Texas. Either born or having went to college in the state, the Texans always seem to bring in homegrown talent and this years is no exception. The Texans currently have 19 players with Texas ties, and we all know the state of Texas produces some good football and players. This just proves to me the Texans have a great draw to players from their hometown state to stay and play football in Texas. Here is the…
