With the 27th Overall Pick The Houston Texans, in the 2013 NFL draft, have selected DeAndre Hopkins from Clemson University and have added one of the most complete wide receivers in the draft. During his senior season, Hopkins posted 82 receptions for 1,404 yards and 18 touchdowns. The Houston Texans hosted University of Mary Hardin-Baylor’s LiDarral Bailey who was the Crusaders quarterback. Bailey (5-11, 175 lbs.) his Senior season threw from 2,642 yard with a 70.7 completion percentage and 30 touchdowns to only 3 interceptions. He also ran from 1,102 yards with 15 touchdowns averaging 6.4 yards a carry. Bailey participated in the inaugural Dream Bowl game in Salem, Virginia where he earned Offensive MVP honors in a 37-0 win. Texans Host Anthony Williams from Fresno State
According to reports, Humble native, defensive end Anthony Williams (6-2, 296 lbs.) had a private workout with the Houston Texans. Williams went to high school at Atascocita and graduated from Fresno State where he played for the Bulldogs since 2008. During his time at Fresno State, Williams was slowed by injuries, and missed half of his senior season. In 2012, Williams appeared in 6 games before suffering a foot injury that ended his season. He posted 13 total tackles, 3 TFLs and 1/2 sack for the Bulldogs. Williams is to be reported to have benched pressed 225 lbs.- 44 times which caught the scouts attention.
