Texans Release Javarris Williams

According to Javarris Williams (RB) via his Twitter account, Williams,  has been informed of his release from the Houston Texans. Williams (5’10″, 223 lbs., 26 yrs.,) is a Richmond, TX native who went on to start for 3 years at running back for Tennessee State University.  There Williams had a standout freshman year and 3 straight 1,000-yard rushing seasons. According to ProFootballTalk, Justin Forsett, RB, (26, 5’8″, 198 lbs.) formerly of the Seattle Seahawks, will be visiting the Houston Texans on Wednesday, May 30, 2012.  Forsett saw a large decrease in carries with the Seahawks in 2011  with 46 carries for 145 yards and 1 TD  as Marshawn Lynch became the primary back. In recent years, Forsett produced 118 carries for 523 yards and 2 TDs in 2010, and 114 rushes for 619 yards and 4 TDs in 2009.  Forsett also was a reliable contributor in the passing game as well as the punt/kickoff returns in the earlier part of his NFL career.
