Future Hall of Fame safety Ed Reed has agreed to terms with the Texans, ending his Ravens career. — Jason La Canfora (@JasonLaCanfora) March 20, 2013 It is a done deal and the Houston Texans have signed free agent safety and future hall of famer, Ed Reed. Reed will come in to fill the hole that starter Glover Quin has left by signing with the Detroit Lions. Reed was picked up this morning by the Texans private jet at his off-season home in Atlanta where they started the pitch for the free agent. Aaron Wilson, Baltimore Sun, made it…
Second Year Players May Light Up Dark Free Agency
Like most of you, we are waiting for the Texans’ first big move in this free agency period and wonder how the Texans can recover from losing 3 starters. To help me, along with you, I have shifted my focus on not what the Texans have lost, but rather what they might gain in 2013. Ladies and gentlemen, I remind you of the Texans’ 2012 draft class. Here’s a look at who needs to step up to fill the voids the Texans are currently staring at. Offense: Solid in the return game, Keshawn Martin did little to help his cause on the…
SOTT Draft Profile : Marcus Lattimore, University of South Carolina
After spending three years as a South Carolina Gamecock, junior RB Marcus Lattimore declared for the NFL draft in December of 2012. Lattimore is an interesting prospect for the NFL. He set a school rushing touchdown record and overall touchdown record for the Gamecocks early in the 2012 season (his THIRD season), he was the leading rusher with 662 yards and 11 touchdowns despite playing just nine games and has suffered some devastating injuries. To get some insight on this intriguing draft participant, we ask a few questions of John Havard, The Gamecock Man, Editor of Garnet and Black Attack….
There Might Be More to the Cody Injury
According to the Houston Chronicle’s Tania Ganguli, Texans starting nose tackle Shaun Cody has more than just bruised ribs. NT Shaun Cody’s injury is more serious than he let on. Broken ribs, punctured lung, I’m told: ow.ly/f6Kfs #Texans — Tania Ganguli (@taniaganguli) November 7, 2012 This rumor started soon after the game that Cody’s injury was nothing more than bruised ribs according to Cody’s twitter. Feelin good. Just had a bang to the riblets. Gonna be fine. #swatteam — Shaun Cody (@ShaunCody95) November 5, 2012 The Texans have been quiet about injuries when it comes to their players, but…

Do The Houston Texans Have Championship Pedigree?
Lately, I’ve been following a lot of NFL analysts and I constantly hear many analysts say since the draft that the Houston Texans will be in the AFC Championship game and others that say the Texans will be in the Super Bowl. The question I ask is why? What do they see in the Texans that makes them believe that the Texans are a perennial Super Bowl contender after one successful season? I am not a cynic by any stretch of the word, because quite frankly I love the hype. I like to believe it all, but if anyone knows…
