With the franchise tag being passed out as we speak, and Monday being the last official day to tag players, the NFL offseason is heating up. Luckily for you avid readers we have all the answers this offseason for the Texans. With so much speculation on what the Texans are going to do, myself along with Mike and TXCleaver decided to play our hand on what will occur this free agent period for the Texans. 5 Things to Watch vs. the Steelers

The Houston Texans are at important game today at Reliant and could help define the rest of the 2011 season. The Texans are at a crossroads, and that is if we will see if these are the new and improved Texans or the same ‘ol Texans. The Pittsburgh Steelers are standing in the way of the Texans to improve their season record and get Texans’ fans back on the bandwagon. There are five things to watch in today’s game that will prove important in the outcome.

Texans Continue Roster Shuffle, I.R. Another and Sign a Familiar Face

On Friday, the Houston Texans placed rookie cornerback, Roc Carmichael on the injured reserved to end his season. Carmichael injured his shoulder early in preseason and never contributed during the preseason and was listed as inactive for the season’s first game against the Indianapolis Colts. He was a 5th round draft pick out of Virginia Tech and was drafted to help solidify a weak secondary heading into the 2011 season.

Texans Waive Three Players

The Houston Texans have waived three players from their roster on Tuesday. Tim Bulman (DE), Cheta Ozougwu (LB) and Terrence Toliver (WR) were let go in roster moves for the Texans this week.

Texans Bring Back David Anderson and Waive One

The Houston Texans in a not so surprising move brought back fan favorite David Anderson to become the team’s fifth wide receiver. He will fill in to provide depth with the recent shoulder injury to Kevin Walter that he suffered late in the second quarter against the Indianapolis Colts. Bringing back Anderson gives the Texans a player who can instantly contribute because of his familiarity with the offense. With the signing of Anderson, the Texans made room by waiving defensive end Tim Bulman.

The Calm After the Storm

With the current team cuts finished, the Houston Texans surprised fans with some moves on Saturday evening. With words slowly leaking out about who was let go by the Texans, the chatter across the internet intensified to a full frenzy on who was going to make the final roster. The Texans are not done with their moves and that is evident with their current 52 player roster and with the current cuts happening around the league, we can expect a few more moves before the roster is set.
